Mountain Blaquemore

12 Miles Mt Blaquemore or the more common name MT Blackmore. It was named for a tourist who had the unfortunate inconvenience to perish in her Montana adventure. As usual it the banal: illness. So they named a damn mountain for her. I'm sure she's was a lovely person. She was British. They're all lovely people. My pet peeve is the fact that I'm coming on to 25 years in this state. You'd think they could name one thing for me. It's really not alot to ask. I wouldn't even demand a mountain, even though there are some perfectly good mountains with at this point no name. No, I'll take a hillock or ditch or street or cul de sac.
The starting elevation for the hike is 6,720. The elevation gain is 3,434 feet from the trailhead. Everyone says that it's 10 miles, but my trusty pedometer says 12.57. My feet say 12 miles. Kaleau the dog is of course dog tired. Posted by Picasa

4.75 miles I was on the way to the Bob Dylan concert. (Yah!) and Thought that I should take a picture while it was easy. Five minutes later I was walking by a house with the Family of 4 two small children on the front steps about to imprint their marks in the fresh cement. Ah regrets. I then walked by a house raised up about 20 feet. That might elicit a return trip. Posted by Picasa

Lewis and What's his name Mini Golf Course

4 Miles Lewis and what's his name were here exactly (Three Forks, 30 miles away) 200 years ago. I was going to take a picture of a dugout canoe, but at the Lewis and what's his name show at the Museum of the Rockies this came up. A mini golf course with St Louis and the Three Forks as holes. The rocks on the left are the Rockies. Get it rocks-Rockies. See what they missed. 200 years of progress, landing a man on the moon, the destruction of the Native American culture, World dominance leading to that pinnacle of American culture: Mini Golf. Gads. Turkeys, ducks and chickens

4 miles
It was strangely frightening. My friend George and I were going to see his radio tower, parked in the lot and lo here they come to the car. They wanted food and were not afraid to go get it. Honking and having a arabesque sense of body space. Maybe my brain was channelling attacks of the dinosars.
Rest assured dear readers, I escaped unscathed. The turkeys, ducks, and chickens however lost their souls to the camera.

Google Maps Pedometer

4 miles Found this cool site: Google GPS pedometer
Check out the way you can zoom to the sat picture and map your route.
If I was really really obsessive, I'd map every walk I've done. That said
I considered it.
